Academy Program (fall, winter, spring)

2024/2025 Fall, Winter and Spring U8 (2017'S) AND U7 (2018'S) DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY

The Academy is for players that seek something more challenging and competitive than the Recreational Programs.

Our Professionals trainers lead practices and games, No referees.

The commitment is for the entire Three Seasons = 8 Months Spring Seasons

Two 1-hour practices* during the Week in the Fall and Spring

* Fall practice schedules will be distributed late-July/early-August

FALL SEASON: 4v4 Format

Winter: 5v5 Format

Spring: 7v7 Format

SCRIMMAGES

4 v 4 scrimmages are scheduled on Sunday @2pm during the spring seasons.

Possibility of using KG-indoor field if it rains out

Fall and Spring Season: Saturdays on Sealston Sports Complex.

Outdoor small sided game simulation prepares our players for the next level of competitive games.

The 4 v 4 scrimmages give the player more play time, leadership, making own decision and many ball touches per game.

MORE ABOUT our inetrnal games:

The 4 v 4 format is in compliance with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) small-sided standards for U7/U8 players.

Players will train twice each week and play in a 4v4 format for scrimmages. Training will focus on individual 1v1 ability, passing skills, striking skills, and a major focus on the overall development of motor coordination and motor skills necessary for the holistic development of young players.

The only focus on tactics will be applied through actual 4v4 or 5v5 or 7v7 play. The game will be used as the learning experience instead of just coach’s instruction. (LET THEM PLAY)

EXPECTATIONS AND COMMITMENT

For the benefit of all participants:

Disruptive or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
This is a 8-month commitment (Fall, Winter and SPRING) to the KGU Program. It will lay the groundwork for later team to prepare for competitive play in the NPL, VPSL League or EDP in the future.

Anticipated expenses:

KGU Academy Tuition (covers Fall, Winter and Spring): $450
You may pay in full or pay on five months' payment.
KGU - Adidas Uniform (required kit is approximately $40) - we will send you a link before the season start
Your players will also need Shin Guards, soccer ball and Water bottle

This Program will be led by coach Amine who is a UEFA B holder and college Men's Head Coach

WELCOME TO THE 2024 - 2025 King George United TRAVEL FREE TRYOUTS.

WE ARE EXCITED FOR THE TRYOUT PROCESS TO BEGIN AND WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE ALL THE RELEVANT INFORMATION FOR YOUR TRYOUT.

We are currently building teams for the upcoming 2020-21 Season. Our current travel teams are renewing while still offering the ability for new players to join KGUNITED through the process of Supplemental Travel Tryouts during the upcoming weeks.

THE MAJORITY OF SELECTIONS WILL BE SENT TO PLAYERS VIA EMAIL WITHIN A 1-2 week PERIOD OF YOUR FINAL TRYOUT SESSION. IF YOU DO NOT HEAR ANYTHING AFTER 72 HOURS PLEASE CONTACT YOUR AGE GROUP DIRECTOR (LISTED BELOW) AS ALL PLAYERS WILL BE CONTACTED WHETHER THEY MAKE A TEAM OR NOT.
